Adovia Purifying Mud Mask Review
April 8, 2014 by
I finally got around to trying the Adovia Purifying Mud Mask, with Pure Dead Sea Mud, Aloe Vera and Vitamin C. I haven't used a face mask product since I was a pre teen copying my mom one day. I was excited, especially because it has Pure Dead Sea Mud, which is known to provide great results.
This product is for all skin types, so I wasn't really concerned using it on my oily, sensitive skin. Its a dark greenish / gray color and it isn't exactly smooth when you look at it, but it blends smoothly and easily on the face. The box says to use it on clean skin for 10 - 20 minutes, so, I did.
The first 15 minutes passed by quickly and I noticed as it dried it felt as if my face tightened. That was nice. Around minute 16 my face started to itch, so I decided to wash it then instead of waiting for 20 minutes to pass.
Looking at the finished results, there was no drastic change because there has only been one experience with the mud mask. Thankfully I do not have major skin issues, but my pores are way smaller. I did have a few bumps as a result of the cream, I guess that's where the itching was, but I would still use this again, just for 10 minutes instead of 20 though. My skin actually feels clean. I have a few errands to run, so I will put on some makeup (without foundation) to see if I notice a difference.
Update (April 9, 2014): I did my makeup (without using a foundation, just used moisturizer, lip gloss and eye make-up). I didn't have any of the usual oil spots on my forehead, nose or cheeks that I usually notice a few minutes after applying my face cream. I went to Lowes, to do some more garden shopping and it's hot outside but I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, that my skin still feels fresh. I started to have a bit of my usual shine around my hairline, but not the "T-spot" issue I normally have. Pretty good! I will definitely continue to use it and let my mom try it out also! I'm also going to use it on my upper back because I have some acne there.
