This is so cool!

I own lots of nice glasses, nice mugs and some plastic cups. I am also the not-so-proud owner of roughly 40 logoed cups, courtesy of restaurants who graciously send my kids on their way with a full cup of whatever they were drinking after a visit! I thought I had enough cups filling my cupboards. However, a really cool, plastic, actually a SILICONE WINE GLASS for adults? I'll take two please!

If you follow my blog, there are two thing you'd know about me.

1 - I don't drink alcohol.
2 - I love a challenge!

When I took it out of the box, I was a little surprised. I knew I was getting a silicone cup, but I didn't really understand how unbreakable a silicone cup would be. This thing really bends! It was so cool, I felt as if I owed it to myself to do what any normal person who finds satisfaction in the simplest things would do. I threw it!!!

I threw it at the door, I threw it on the floor, I even threw it to my kids in a game of catch. I bent it, then I grabbed my camera for a picture of me bending it, and seconds later I came back to my senses. I didn't want to get carried away! I was now ready to use it.

Before I prepped the wine cup for use, I followed the directions to air it out. Because it's silicone, it initially had a plastic smell so I allowed it to air out for a day. Actually, I forgot it on top of a cabinet in my office, so it had a few days to air out. Then, I washed it. Afterward it smelled like a regular cup (almost).

The Look: In terms of color, it looks like one of the nice frost white lamp shades that covers my ceiling fan light. The shape is like most wine glasses without the stem.

The Feel: It's really soft. You already know they're bendable, but sturdy. Even after the initial abuse I put it through, it did not change shape or lose balance.

I drank orange juice in the cup and I'm happy to report there were no leaks. This is a great creation and a cup you can take anywhere. My kids have their restaurant cups, I have my Bacchus Break, all that's missing is a lid for road trips!
