Disclaimer: “I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Huggies and Target. I received samples and a promotional item to facilitate my review.” All opinions are my own.
I love my local Target. It's clean and usually quiet. If there's something I need there, I can easily get in and out (unless I'm distracted by a coupon or other deal).
I was given the opportunity to discuss Huggies Little Snugglers and since I am already a fan of Huggies and have years of experience using their diapers on my children, I decided to accept the offer. My kids are too old for diapers, but I have family members and friends with little ones. My brother in law has a new baby who is just 3 weeks old, but he's a couponer and has boxes of diapers piled in a room of his home (lol)! I was going to have someone else who already uses Huggies tell me about their experience with this brand of diapers, and why they continue to purchase it, but I couldn't resist the chance to have one of my friends, who happens to be the mom of TWINS try them. She usually purchases another brand, so this seemed a bit more interesting!
We live 8 hours away from each other, so I purchased Huggies Little Snugglers on Target.com and had her pick it up in store. Within an hour after purchase I received an email saying the boxes were ready for pickup. Easy enough! After a short drive to her local Target, she had 2 boxes of diapers and I had a $10 gift card!
NOTE: Target currently has a promotion where you will receive a $10 bonus on a purchase of two select boxes of diapers.
Aww, aren't they adorable? My friend's little ones are not so little, so in a few weeks they'll have to move on to another style of Huggies diapers, but size 3 fits them well right now and are comfortable.
Huggies Little Snugglers are available in sizes Preemie, up to a size 3 (16 - 28 lbs). They have a suggested retail price of $11.99 for Jumbo packs, $22.99 for big packs, but there are always sales and coupons available which makes them compatible in price.
When I had my first born son, I think I may have tried every diaper brand created. Of course I splurged on expensive diapers and actually considered Huggies to be expensive, until I tried a brand known to be "cost effective". It took a nasty rash and weird smell from my son's private area to realize cheap diapers may save me money in the store, but what I'd end up spending in time and money having him checked out by the doctor and a follow up visit, cheaper in our case definitely was not better!
When it came to a comparable brand in regards to price and popularity, it worked OK for a while, but I noticed the front of his diaper would feel soggy when wet, as if he was sitting in a dirty diaper for a long period of time, which was not the case. For some, their child's skin may not be sensitive to a specific brand, lucky them, I have to be a bit more choosy. Once I find something that works, I tend to stick with it. Then I continued the trend with my other baby. It didn't make sense for me to put another child through "diaper trials", especially since the price difference wouldn't be too far off since coupons and sales can be obtained.
I will update this post after my friend has had time to test Huggies Little Snugglers and compare its quality to her usual brand. Meanwhile, here are two things to consider:
Umbilical cord cut out to protect the belly button
Flexible, pocketed waistband (helps keep in the mess)
Stretchy, Snugfit waist band
Cotton soft material
Share your thoughts! I know every brand doesn't work the same for every child, so what's your experience with Huggies brand diapers? Have you tried Huggies Little Snugglers? If it was possible to register a "wish", what would it be?
