The Happys Playdate
April 22, 2014 by

I received #TheHappys set free for the purpose of a review.

I waited until my son's birthday party to introduce The Happys, but the delicious Werther's Caramel Popcorn didn't last a day in my home. Our playdate/party was held during my son's Pirate themed party and the kids and surroundings were decorated in pirate gear so I couldn't take photos of them interacting with the puppies (It was a bit weird), but I did include photos of the ear bands the early arrivals made and the puppies in play.

As soon as the kids saw the puppies, the boys responded with a "What's that?" and as expected the girls were talking about how cute the dogs were. 3 of them were played with at the party, but I noticed how much one of the girls were fawning over "Mittens", so I used it as a ploy to get them to compete in a friendly game suited for the party, winner would take one home.

One of the games we played (a few times because the kids enjoyed it) was having the dogs race to the ball. The puppies are a ball of energy. It was interesting to watch how they would chase the yellow ball. The kids really got a kick out of rolling the ball in different directions and watching the puppies change course chasing it. How do they do that?

A funny thing that happened during one of the races were tha t one dog would just spin around and around, then go forward a bit and spin again. That really got the kids excited, rooting for it to go straight and one kid joked that it needs training.

Days after the party my kids started to notice the Happys Commercial. In the commercial the dogs are in cars, on skateboards and have accessories. Now they want additional pups and pieces.
