Gotta love Express clearance! I just saved a whole heap of money!

Wow. As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm not cheap, I'm frugal! I absolutely love to surf the web looking for bargains, but I also like quality! Unfortunately, for me...I'm not rich. But, fortunately for me, stores don't like the same old-same old so really great things end up on sale after a few short weeks!
As soon as I go into a store, I head for the clearance section. I see nothing wrong with that. Regular priced items usually have something similar in the sale section, so I have no problem spending a half hour digging through clothes to find things I like. It's not like I have a job to go to, lol. I used to shop at Macy's often, but for some reason I just got bored with it...or maybe it's the music playing in the store...I dunno! I used to go to their website, but I like free shipping WITHOUT having to spend $99 (unless I'm getting at least 15 items). They have the best coupons, but if buying online, the only purpose it serves is canceling the shipping price, so that's not enough of a deal for Mrs. Frugal! Plus, the deals online are not as great as in store. So although I have quite a few Macy's giftcards sitting in my purse, I still have not used them.

Anyhoo, yay for me...I was approved for an Express Store Card! So, to treat myself
I went online to see what they had. Funny enough, the prices on Express.com are
better than the prices in store. Plus, in the store I never see a lot of 10's or 12's. My
eyes grew wide when I saw the items in the clearance section was an additional 50%
off! Woohoo! I mean, I saw it at an additional 70% off before, but I didn't have a
card then...so I behaved! I bought 12 tops for $114. (and that includes tax and
shipping). Guess what the total cost before tax and shipping would've been had I
paid the regular price for them? $660.40. That's right, 660 dollars and 40 freaking
cents! <----- Whew, it hurts typing those numbers. You cannot use a coupon or
receive free shipping when buying red line items, but it was still a great buy, so I'm
a happy camper! :)
